About Us

London based, Founders Grace Richmond and Abi Gadsby were brought together by their love of style, clothes and shopping for them in a thrifty, responsible and conscious manner. Both women are impassioned to help bring more awareness to the social and environmental injustices that cast a heavy shadow over the fashion industry.

The Grace & Gadsby partnership was formed to teach, inspire and encourage women to dress for themselves, feel confident, elegant and powerful both in what they wear to work and the everyday. But importantly, to build a timeless wardrobe that boasts wearability, durability and circularity to be in line with the sustainability values they uphold.

 The Loop

Across their travels, conversations and interactions with clients, they found a huge growth in brides-to-be looking for bridal wear that moves away from tradition, brides are now looking for styles that are practical, thoughtful, affordable, reusable and versatile. They want dresses that can be worn for all types of wedding occasion, from the ‘Big Day Dress’ and beyond…

The Loop boasts a curated edit of timeless, preloved luxury designer pieces -  so that our beautiful brides can still have the day(s!) they hoped for and more; offering styling, tailoring, personalisation and customisation services to add the finishing touches.

Having studied Fashion Marketing at University, Abi then went on to work in the film and entertainment industry. She has always been the savviest of shoppers and dressers, sourcing her beautiful fashion finds from vintage showrooms and thrifty online shopping - boasting a covetable wardrobe of designer items that haven’t broken the bank. From bags to dresses, Abi finds colourful pieces that work for her, and if those pieces aren’t quite right initially, she uses tailors, dyes and customisation to make sure they fit her final vision.

Grace is the sartorial eye – having worked within the fashion industry since leaving university; first with digital platform Never Underdressed and then LOVE Magazine. Before working with fashion stylist, Elizabeth Saltzman, a Vogue and Vanity Fair Contributing Editor for over 3.5 years. Her love for more responsible business practices led her to Sustainable Fashion Consultancy, Eco-Age, under Livia Firth and the British Fashion Council Foundation. Grace isn’t trend focused, only buying items that work for all seasons and matching them to all parts of her wardrobe to ensure maximum use. She sees clothing as a way to add confidence and lift spirits, getting her kicks from helping people to look and feel their best.
